NRRI water and minerals expertise came together to understand legacy metals pollution in the Great Lakes, published in two peer-reviewed articles. The researchers summarized what was previously known of metals paleogeochemistry - the metals history over the past two centuries - then performed a geochemical analysis of 11 sediment cores throughout the Great Lakes basin.
